Dennis J. Hoiberg – Developing Personal Resilience
Key Employment first heard Dennis conduct a brief presentation at a Gold Coast conference in mid 2009. We thought his message of the need to look after ourselves – in order to look after others in your family and community – in particular our clients - was particularly relevant to our sector.
We asked Dennis to present to all of our employees in Coffs Habour. While we thought the message would be well received, we were unprepared for the strength of the response to Dennis and his message.
62% of our people responded that the information was new to them, 100% rated the effectiveness of the presentation as being very easy to understand and critically, 97% of our people felt that the message was relevant to them.
His message was the topic of the “water cooler” discussions the next day and we believe we will get a significant return on our investment through a workforce more aware of and in tune with the message of developing personal resilience.
Dennis has the ability to discuss difficult topics in a way that engages with people. His high energy style based around his experience and quick and humorous wit is ideally suited to the workplace. He talked with our people - there was nearly 30 people in the audience - not to them with the result there was a high level of connection and resulting motivation.
