Our client is an agricultural business growing their domestic footprint within both the Australian and New Zealand market. They are part of a leading global trader, with a strong international reputation for developing long standing relationships between supplier and customers, and continue to grow across a number of regions. Locally, they have expanded their business through strategic market access and developing mutually beneficial relationships with domestic customers.
The Role
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will help manage and grow a number of strategic accounts within the Victoria and New South Wales markets, ensuring customers receive a best-in-class service. You will assist them in accessing a competitive and reliable supply of their commodities, and develop and execute regional sales strategies to align with company goals.
You will be supported to understand and track global and regional markets, be part of a global marketing team that provide insights on pricing trends, demand shifts and competitor activity, and be trained to assist clients in understanding marketing fluctuations.
You will work closely with internal teams in Commercial, Finance, Operations and Marketing and receive mentorship and training to further develop your career within a growing business.
The Person
We are interested in speaking to you if you possess the following key skills:
- Degree Qualified in a related field (Agriculture, Business, Economics etc)
- A strong interest in the commodity trading sector, ideally with an appreciation for both domestic and global supply chains (ie Grains, Fertiliser, Seed etc)
- A passion for Australian agriculture and farming practices
- Experience in some form of related role or industry would be beneficial however we are open to discussing the role with recent graduates as well.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capacity to analyze and produce sales and marketing forecasts
