Recognised as one of Western Australia’s most iconic agribusinesses, our client is a trusted supplier to the commercial sheep, beef and dairy production sectors. Managing nutritional-based relationships with customers, the business takes a whole farm production approach to product advice.
Due to continued growth in key markets, they are wishing to appoint an Area Manager, who possesses a functional understanding of ruminant nutrition. With expanded manufacturing capabilities scheduled to take advantage of market growth at their locally owned and well-situated production facilities, this role will be a key driver in the business’s continued success.
About The Role
Reporting into the General Manager, the Area Manager will be a key industry liaison relationship manager for existing customers, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and livestock production is maintained and recorded. They will also work closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure customer success is driven by the whole team.
As a subject matter expert, the Area Manager will help to drive productivity and cost-effective feed solutions for customers across Western Australia. This will involve developing a technical understanding of each client’s on-farm animal health and productivity.
The position can be performed from a metro or regional location and it may be attractive to a veterinarian, who is seeking a change of career.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this key position, candidate will require the following:
- A functional understanding of animal health and/or ruminant nutrition
- Veterinary qualifications preferred
- Strong relationship building and time management skills
- Capacity to travel - with one night’s accommodation per week on average
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
