The Position
Reporting to and working closely with the board, the CEO is responsible and accountable for the overall profitable, safe and effective operations of Invetus. You are responsible for setting the direction and tone of the business, being a role model for values, being alert to business opportunities and inspiring a culture of innovation with care. Responsibilities include:
- Business management – staff, facilities and animals
- Business growth
- Leading business unit managers (scientific professionals)
This is a large role where you are across all aspects of the business, effectively running it like your own.
The Person
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated expertise and a deep understanding of animal research either in a contract research organization, academic or corporate environment. You will also:
- Demonstrate ability to lead a profitable, successful business
- Identify and deliver new business opportunities
- Showcase strong leadership skills
- Have high level communication skills | board reporting experience
- Have ability to manage multiple projects
- University degree ideally in Vet Sc or other scientific discipline (higher study level well regarded)
