The Position
The Country Manager - New Zealand
who reports to the Australian based Managing Director will have oversight of the total business including leading a reputable and established team. The successful person will provide strategic, sales and operational advice to the Terranova Seeds business including the development of sales and operational plans that align with the businesses long term goals and objectives. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to work with a very experienced team of experts within the seed industry.
Terranova Seeds is a fully owned subsidiary of South Pacific Seeds. It trades independently and is highly competitive. It provides an opportunity for a new Manager to take ownership, accountability, and work with a well-established business of exceptional reputation to leverage its next stage of growth.
The Person
We are keen to hear from you if you have:
- deep understanding of the New Zealand or Australian agribusiness sectors, ideally with exposure to the seed industry
- experience in the oversight/leadership and strategic direction of a commercial, R&D focused business
- proven sales development skills to grow and develop markets and new products
- strong people leadership skills including leading technical sales representatives
- ability to identify, understand, relate to, and connect with important long-term stakeholders in the agribusiness environment
- strong business acumen, understanding and experience of managing financial and non-financial risks with full P&L responsibility
- ability to create a positive and learning culture where people can realise their full potential
