The Opportunity
Reporting to the International Sales Manager, this position has responsibility for the coordination and execution of all export-related activities to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of seeds to international markets. Importantly the function actively supports Terranova’s global growth strategy.
Your role will coordinate administrative processes, documentation & logistics, while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and international customers.
Predominantly the role involves:
- Export administration support - respond to client enquiries, manage stock, oversee order compliance, work with import permits and MICOR requirements and prepare work orders, support documentation, and lab seed tests, and transport and shipping
- Export seed trialling - issue import permits, coordinate sample preparation, and follow-up results
- Market development support - assist sales and distribution and work with international partners
- Product portfolio support - help product development and marketing teams
We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following:
- Thorough understanding of the logistics process and export terms
- Solid experience in international trades, shipping and or freight forwarding ideally for agricultural products, preferably seeds
- The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key suppliers e.g. freight & logistics companies, customs agents, seed producers
- Able to reasonably respond and resolve issues as they arise outside
- Proficient in export documentation system & the Microsoft Suite of applications
- High attention to detail and enjoy multitasking
- Strong administrative skills to ensure all logistics transactions are executed in a timely and controlled manner
- Able to prioritise and use initiative to achieve desired outcomes
- Have a customer focused approach and enjoy working with international customers with diverse nationalities
- Proactive in your approach and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment
