The Wilga Farming aggregation is a mixed farming enterprise over just under 12kHa across 4 properties in the rugged northern region of NSW, which includes the development of natural assets such as carbon sequestration and biodiversity.
The Role
The Wilga Farming platform is seeking a motivated and experienced agricultural leader to lead operations on the Burmah Aggregation, near Inverell. This is a large scale, mixed farming enterprise that is continuing to develop into highly productive cropping country. They double crop (winter and summer), run 700 head livestock herd and are investing in environmental plantings.
Reporting to the Regional Manager you will be responsible for:
- Operational leadership and delivery
- People leadership and development
- Financial management and reporting
- Maintenance of property, plant and infrastructure
- Safety conduct and compliance
The Person
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience managing medium to large scale mixed farming or broadacre cropping operations
- Leadership experience in developing high performing teams
- Financial management, budgeting and planning capability
- Strong knowledge of cropping, with ideally some livestock experience
