The Company
Rex James Stockfeed is a family-owned business based in Nathalia, Victoria. For more than 40 years, they have been manufacturing and supplying high-quality ruminant feeds to some of Victoria and Tasmania’s leading farmers.
In addition to the stockfeed business, the Rex James Group owns and operates a mixed livestock and cropping enterprise with land holdings in close proximity to Nathalia. They are currently seeking a highly capable individual to take on the leadership of this farming enterprise.

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the complete operations of their mixed livestock and cropping enterprise near Nathalia. This role is crucial for ensuring the productivity, health, and efficient management of the farm.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day livestock operations, including feeding regimes, grazing programs, and seasonal activities.
  • Develop and implement best practice protocols for animal health, welfare, and intensive pasture management.
  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy of stock records using Mobile app platform.
  • Plan, execute, and supervise major seasonal programs such as lambing and shearing.
  • Manage the operation and maintenance of all farm infrastructure, plant, and vehicles (including machinery, fencing, and water systems).
  • Assist with broadacre cropping activities as required.
  • Manage and maintain a safe work environment and enforce WHS standards across the property.
The Person
We are looking for a natural leader with proven hands-on experience and a commitment to excellence in mixed farming operations.
What You'll Bring:
  • Proven experience in livestock and pasture management, ideally in a mixed farming or operational leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of pasture management and rotational grazing systems.
  • A calm, steady, and placid demeanour suitable for leading farm operations.
  • Excellent communication and planning skills for coordinating staff, contractors, and reporting to the group.
  • Exceptional hands-on ability with farm machinery, fencing, and general maintenance.
  • A strong commitment to safety and enforcing safe work practices.
  • A valid driver's licence.
In return, you will be rewarded with a suitable salary package, including accommodation onsite and vehicle, as well as other necessary tools of trade. To further discuss this role, please contact Charles MacCallum on 1300 380 701 or apply via www.rimfireresources.com.au
