About The Company
Our client, MEQ Probe, is redefining how the red meat industry measures quality. Traditionally, assessment relied on the human eye. MEQ’s technology delivers objective, real-time data that improves live cattle and carcass evaluation. Their solutions empower breeders, processors, and consumers while advancing sustainability and transparency across the beef and lamb sectors.

With adoption growing rapidly, MEQ Probe is seeking individuals who want to contribute to meaningful change across the industry.

About The Role
As a Field Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring MEQ Probe’s advanced technologies perform reliably in commercial settings. From installing and maintaining equipment to training operators and resolving technical challenges, you’ll be directly supporting clients and field operations.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Providing ongoing client support
  • Collecting and analysing data using MEQ technology
  • Developing and updating documentation and training materials
  • Collaborating with the product development team to drive continuous improvement
About You
We’re looking for someone with technical skills, a passion for the meat or agriculture industry, and the ability to thrive in dynamic, hands-on environments.

To succeed, you’ll bring:
  • Technical aptitude, ideally with experience in a field technician or service role
  • Exposure to the meat or agricultural industry (highly regarded)
  • Interest in software and hardware systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in varied environments
  • Flexibility for early mornings, late nights, and regional travel
  • Confidence in training and engaging with clients
  • A proactive, team-focused mindset
Additional requirements:
  • A current, valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Q-fever vaccination (or willingness to obtain)
Location is flexible across North-East Victoria and the NSW/VIC border region, including Shepparton, Wangaratta, Echuca, Benalla and Albury-Wodonga.
The successful candidate will support clients across southern NSW and northern Victoria, with proximity to the border region advantageous.

What’s in It for You?
This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and the red meat industry, supporting the rollout of advanced measurement tools across commercial operations. You will:
  • Work directly with producers, processors and industry operators across NSW and Victoria
  • Gain hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting and supporting advanced hardware and software systems
  • Build strong industry exposure across multiple sites and production environments
  • Contribute practical field insights that help refine and improve the technology over time
