    The Role
    We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our clients Melbourne team. This is a rare opportunity to work with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team focused on reshaping bulk commodity markets across Australia and New Zealand.

    Key responsibilities will include:
    • Managing month-end close, including accrual accounting and reporting
    • Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger integrity
    • Tracking and analysing OPEX, CAPEX, and margins
    • Supporting treasury management, cashflow, and FX exposure
    • Assisting with Mark-to-market and hedge accounting practices
    • Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
    • Improving financial systems and automation to lift team efficiency
    • Supporting audit, tax, and compliance obligations
    • Providing commercial insights to support decision-making
    The Person
    We are interested in speaking to you if you possess the following key skills:
    • Experience in financial or management accounting in a commercial setting, ideally at a senior level with a hands-on mindset.
    • Providing leadership to a business in the finance division, and working with business leadership around projects and growth opportunities.
    • Strong working knowledge of accrual accounting and reporting standards.
    • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Xero or similar systems.
    • Strong interest in systems improvement and automation.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Exposure to commodity markets, MTM, or hedge accounting.
    • CPA/CA qualification is preferred.
