The Opportunity
Following the retirement of a long serving general manager, there is now the opportunity for a General Manager
to take leadership of this successful orchard.
Reporting to the Sydney based Director, you will be responsible for taking the existing high performance to a new level, to further enhance profitability. This includes conception and development of the next step of expansion.
The role is located at Kyalite, NSW a regional hub for Australian pistachio farming.
About You
To be successful in this senior role, we are seeking a manager with the following skills and attributes:
- The passion to learn and understand commercial growing of pistachios in Australia
- The skill to manage a modern, large orchard in a temperate climate
- Experience to lead and motivate staff and contractors
- Familiarity with drip irrigation systems and specialised farm machinery
- Ability to manage the administrative functions of the orchard
- Tertiary qualifications would be highly regarded
