    Our client Crop Smart is a leading retailer and distributor of crop protection and fertiliser inputs. They continue to grow and over the past 20 years have built a strong reputation for leading ‘in-field’ service delivery, responsive crop protection solutions, and an operation that includes a formulation plant and distribution network across Victoria, South Australia, while servicing NSW.

    The Role

    Continuing their growth, the company has evolved and are refining their supply chain. They are now seeking a General Manager – Supply Chain to join the leadership team.

    You will be accountable for developing strategies, leading initiatives and running the day-to-day operations across the sourcing, storing and logistics teams. With your guidance, these high functioning and well-established teams are ready to go to the next level, involving collaboration across departments.

    Responsibilities include:
    • People and Team leadership
    • Strategic planning
    • Supply Chain operations
    • Procurement
    • Supplier engagement
    The Person

    To be successful in this role you will have:
    • Demonstrated leadership managing high performing teams
    • 7+ years’ experience in supply chain, procurement or category management roles
    • Experience in inventory and logistics systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial controls
    • High level negotiation, stakeholder engagement and supplier management skills
    • Ideally experience in agribusiness, chemical or FMCG sectors
    With strong financial acumen you will have the skills and ability to deliver cost savings and improve operational efficiency whilst balancing needs across the business network.
