The Opportunity

As Head of Sales – Australia , you will drive national sales strategy, lead a high performing team, and work with your team to manage key reseller, key customer and key end user relationships. Working collaboratively with the Head of Sales NZ and as part of the ANZ Lead Team, you will help build a world class seed business and position Pioneer as Australia’s most trusted seed brand.

This role requires a strategic leader who can lead and coach a high-performing sales team and collaborate effectively with portfolio and research teams. Critical to this position is the need to work in collaboration with the NZ business to ensure a common business culture across both countries.

About You

We are seeking a strategic, people focused leader with the following: 
  • 10+ years senior sales leadership experience, ideally in agricultural seed, rural retail or supply sectors
  • Proven success in identifying opportunities and developing and executing successful sales strategies
  • Strong people leadership, coaching and team building capabilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to collaborate with people across all levels
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data
  • Experience with CRM strategy and sales analytics platforms to leverage data driven insights
  • Strategic thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities
  • High ethics, integrity and professionalism
  • Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Science, Business or a related field
