The Role
We are seeking a Logistics Manager to join our client's team. This is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day management of customer-facing logistics. You will be actively involved in manufacturing and delivery operations, ensuring the company’s sales strategy is executed effectively while maximising profitability through accurate planning, prioritisation, and clear communication with all stakeholders.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient product delivery that consistently meets customer expectations. Your key accountabilities will include:
  • Safety & Compliance: Identifying and reporting hazards, ensuring compliance with the Chain of Responsibility framework, and managing driver documentation.
  • Logistics Operations: Ensuring adequate, timely, and cost-effective freight resources are in place, utilising logistics technology to optimise planning and routing, and driving operational excellence with a focus on Delivery in Full, On Time, In Spec (DIFOTIS).
  • Continuous Improvement & Planning: Leading and supporting new processes and systems to improve efficiency and service outcomes and preparing reports to highlight performance metrics and opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure service excellence and build collaborative relationships.
The Person
We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-focused logistics or supply chain role.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing teams and resources.
  • Proven track record in planning, scheduling, and improving logistics operations.
  • A sound knowledge of OH&S and environmental policies, with a solid understanding of inland road freight operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics systems.
  • Resilient and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A positive, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
