The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an accomplished commercial professional to lead and influence its international fertiliser procurement and trading activities.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly strategic role at the which combines global commodity markets, international supplier relationships, procurement, logistics and commercial decision-making. Working alongside an experienced industry leader, you will help secure fertiliser supply for Western Australian growers while developing and managing relationships with major global manufacturers, traders and suppliers.
Operating across international markets, you will negotiate significant commercial agreements, monitor global supply and demand dynamics, represent the business at major industry events and work closely with sales, logistics and operations teams to optimise procurement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop strategic relationships with global fertiliser manufacturers, traders and suppliers
- Lead commercial negotiations and procurement decisions across international markets
- Analyse commodity markets, pricing trends, freight, foreign exchange and supply chain dynamics
- Work closely with sales, inventory and logistics functions to align purchasing decisions with customer demand
- Support shipping, inventory and supply planning activities across the fertiliser business
- Represent the organisation at international conferences, supplier meetings and industry forums
- Contribute to commercial strategy and long-term sourcing initiatives
