Our client represents national stakeholders who operate across a range of agricultural segments supplying inputs and services to farmer customers through a retail channel. They act on behalf of their network to leverage relationships with a broad range of suppliers to gain competitive supply agreements and add commercial value to their stakeholders. They have gone through a period of growth, and due to this ongoing growth are looking to further invest on behalf of their shareholders.
The Position
Reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with key suppliers and stakeholders to improve the value proposition for our client and their national footprint of stores. You will be working with a wider sales/relationship team to strengthen and develop relationships across key market segments to promote our client’s business. Our client’s network covers a range of agricultural industries, including broadacre and horticulture regions offering a truly diverse challenge.
Due to this diversity, you will leverage your strong understanding of agronomy, seed and agtech input providers and emerging trends in these categories, allowing you to assist each stakeholder drive business outcomes in their relevant sector.
The Person
The successful candidate with have:
- A strong background (7+ years) in a professional agribusiness environment, ideally with existing relationships and industry knowledge of the key sectors related to the role.
- You will have relevant tertiary qualifications (Agribusiness, Agronomic or Commerce related).
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- A broad understanding and passion for the Australian agricultural market and be interested in new develop technology and trends.
- Natural commercial skills, with experience developing strong stakeholder relationships.
