Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited (Hort Innovation) is the grower-owned Research & Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s horticulture industry. Through investment in research, development, marketing and trade initiatives, Hort Innovation helps to advance Australia’s $18.4 billion horticulture sector, building a prosperous and sustainable future for growers.
Working in partnership with growers, government, and leading Australian & international research, technology, and consumer strategy experts, Hort Innovation annually invests more than $180m in programs funded by grower levies, Australian Government contributions, and co-investment from industry and external partners.
Hort Innovation’s Director Nomination Committee (DNC) is now inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates seeking to join the Board. Two roles will be filled via election at the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November, with the casual vacancy being filled by Board appointment.
Hort Innovation’s skills-based board is comprised of nine Non-Executive Directors. In line with the Board Skills Matrix, applications are NOW invited from candidates with expertise in the following broadened skill areas, particularly with respect to an agricultural setting:
