The Company

Our client is an energetic agricultural business growing its domestic footprint within both the Australian and New Zealand markets. They are part of a leading global trader, with a strong international reputation for developing long-standing relationships between suppliers and customers, and they continue to grow across a number of regions. Locally, they have expanded their business through strategic market access and by developing mutually beneficial relationships with domestic customers. You’ll work with a tight-knit team that laughs easily, supports each other, and doesn’t mind a bit of friendly banter during the day.

The Opportunity

Based in their Melbourne Head Office, this role supports the end-to-end operational coordination of bulk fertiliser imports and domestic supply across the Australian network. Working closely with the Head of Operations and internal/external stakeholders, you will help ensure product is moved safely, efficiently, and in line with customer commitments.
  • Coordinate execution of inbound shipments, receivals and deliveries across ports, storage and customers.
  • Liaise with shipping agents, transport providers, warehouses and inspection providers to align schedules and documentation.
  • Monitor inventory movements, track variances and maintain accurate operational records and reporting.
  • Support contract and nomination administration, including key shipment and logistics documentation.
  • Assist with issue resolution across the supply chain, escalating risks and constraints as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes to deliver best-in-class service to farming customers.
About You

You are an agile, proactive operations coordinator with experience in logistics, supply chain, shipping and/or commodities, and you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and stakeholder communication are critical. You bring a customer-first mindset, strong follow-through, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience coordinating transport, warehousing and/or import/export documentation (bulk or agri commodities advantageous).
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to track multiple moving parts and meet time-critical deadlines.
  • Clear communicator who can build effective relationships with internal teams, suppliers and service providers.
  • High attention to detail with confident systems capability (Excel/ERP experience beneficial).
  • Calm, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
Why This Role

This role will be based in the Melbourne Head Office, allowing for direct engagement with the Head of Operations. You will be joining a fast-paced environment where everyone pulls their weight, but they make sure it’s a place you actually enjoy coming to each day!
