With newly commissioned state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities, the Production Engineer will be a key driver in the business’s continued successes.

About The Role

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Production Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support, to all areas of production and maintenance.

In this visible leadership role, the Production Engineer will drive a number of critical internal and third-party relationships - whilst overseeing project delivery. This will include design, procurement, installation, commissioning and maintenance forecasting.  

The initial focus of the role will be to develop a detailed technical understanding of the business’s manufacturing operations. This will include gaining familiarity with current and planned CAPEX projects and overall production efficiency opportunities.

By leading from the front and as part of our client’s values, the Production Engineer will support and maintain a culture which prioritises best practise in safety, process improvement and compliance.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this key position, candidates will require the following:
  • A track-record of leadership gained in a manufacturing and/or production environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Mechanical aptitude coupled with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Capacity to critically analyse and make modifications to technical documentation / drawings
  • Proven report writing and project management skills
  • A hands-on management approach, with the ability to lead by example
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, considered desirable
