The Role
This company produces and exports products in a somewhat unique industry so we don’t expect that you will have experience from this sector specifically. To be able to grow into the role, and be successful for the longer term, our client requires an operational professional from an agricultural background.
This position will require experience in a livestock focussed work environment as you will be handling their stick daily. You will report to the Operations Manager in a role with no two days the same.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the biologics production process, including collection, filling, and packaging operations.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules while optimizing throughput, yield, and quality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
- Ensure operations comply with numerous quality and standards requirements from this industry
- Collaborate with Quality team to support internal audits, validation activities, and investigations.
- Conduct performance reviews, manage staffing plans, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports, utilising data analysis and key performance indicators to monitor production, quality, and efficiency.
- Ensure all required production records for regulators are current and complete.
- Oversee material planning, inventory control, and equipment maintenance to avoid production delays.
- Prior experience in Animal Science, Veterinary Science or equivalent will be highly regarded
- Solid leadership experience from a highly regulated agricultural manufacturing or production environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve production goals
- Ability to plan and organise self and other team members to ensure production quality and quantity requirements
- A high degree of attention to detail, particularly in relation to the completion of documentation
- Business, commerce or science qualifications will be highly regarded.
