The Role
Reporting to the Directors, in this newly created role, the Regional Operations Manager will provide leadership and operational oversight across our clients feed mill network in Victoria and Southern NSW. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations, delivering consistent production standards and driving continuous improvement across multiple sites, while partnering internally to deliver reliable supply to customers.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to Mill Managers and visible safety leadership across all feed mill sites
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, biosecurity, quality assurance and environmental requirements, plus relevant regulatory standards
  • Drive consistent production performance, efficiency and product quality across the network
  • Work with Mill Managers and maintenance teams to execute production plans, support maintenance planning and manage downtime
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics to align raw material availability and scheduling with production requirements
  • Support workforce planning, training, performance management and capability development across site teams
  • Monitor costs, efficiency and key risks; provide regular operational reporting, insights and recommendations to the Directors, and support capital improvement projects and equipment upgrades
The Person
You’re a confident, autonomous operations leader with proven multi-site management experience in feed milling, manufacturing or a related industrial environment. With a practical, hands-on approach and strong stakeholder management skills, you’ll lift operational consistency, develop site capability and maintain a clear focus on safety, quality and performance.
  • Strong operational management experience within manufacturing, feed milling or a related industrial environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and competing operational priorities
  • Strong understanding of production processes, safety systems and quality standards (including WHS, QA and biosecurity)
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability, with a track record in continuous improvement
  • Clear communicator able to engage site teams and senior leaders; formal qualifications in operations/engineering/agriculture are well regarded
This role can be based at either the head office in North Melbourne or at one of our clients sites in South East Victoria or Northern Victoria; however, it will require regular travel across Victoria and Southern New South Wales to allow direct engagement at each main milling site.
