With newly commissioned state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities, the Production Engineer will be a key driver in the business’s continued successes.
About The Role
Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Senior Production Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support, to all areas of production, maintenance and projects.
In this visible leadership role, the Senior Production Engineer will drive a number of critical internal and third-party relationships - whilst overseeing project delivery. This will include design, procurement, installation, commissioning and assist with maintenance forecasting.
The initial focus of the role will be to develop a detailed technical understanding of the business’s manufacturing operations whilst providing a sounding board for the leadership team. This will include gaining familiarity with current CAPEX modelling, cost control and overall production efficiency.
By leading from the front and as part of our client’s values, the Senior Production Engineer will support and maintain a culture which prioritises best practise in safety, process improvement and compliance.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this key position, candidates will require the following:
- A track-record of leadership gained in a manufacturing and/or production environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Mechanical aptitude coupled with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Capacity to critically analyse and make modifications to technical documentation / drawings
- Proven report writing and project management skills
- A hands-on management approach, with the ability to lead by example
- Relevant tertiary and trade qualifications, considered desirable
