In addition to their R&D programs, large areas are contracted for seed production. Harvested seed is cleaned, coated, treated, mixed and packed at one of the several strategically placed, distribution sites in Eastern Australia.

The Position
Due to internal movement, there is now the requirement for a Site Manager to manage the seed operations facility at Forbes.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, this includes:
- Leading and developing the team (5 direct reports, 15 permanent/casual)
- Maintaining the high standards, and continuous improvement in Safety, Health and Wellbeing and seed quality
- Delivering high quality service and product to customers
- Managing both the manufacturing/ processing as well as warehouse/ dispatch activities
- Managing inventory, capital investment upgrades and finances
The role is based in Forbes ideally or Parkes, NSW to be close to the facility.
The Person
We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following key skills and attributes:
- People leadership and relationship building experience
- Experience within the manufacturing/ warehouse environment
- High level people and communication skills
- Knowledge and commitment to Safety, Health and Wellbeing
- Focus on continuous improvement
- Rural industry background (cropping or seed preferred) and empathy for farmers
