The Company:

Paraway is proud to be one of Australia’s largest and most respected pastoral landowners and operators. Since their founding in 2007, they’ve grown to manage over 4.4 million hectares across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria, producing quality sheep, cattle and crops. They are passionate about progressive agriculture and providing safe, rewarding workplaces for their people.

The Opportunity:

Paradise Station is a key component of Paraway’s strategy to deliver consistent, reliable supply of high-quality products to its customers.  Consisting of high-quality developed pastures and improved native grazing country, with significant on farm infrastructure including a reticulated stock water system to all paddocks and a new set of ProWay cattle yards, Paradise operates as a mix of breeding and backgrounding and makes up a large part of Paraway’s Angus and F1 Wagyu turnoff to external customers.

At approximately 6500 ha, Paradise forms part of a proven high volume grass production system. Located approximately 35kms South-East of Inverell and 1100m above sea level with consistently high rainfall, the quality red and black basalt soils are typical of the tableland’s country type of the area.

  • Overall leadership and management of the station, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and sustainable resource use.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with station personnel, other Station Managers, regional and head office teams, contractors, suppliers, and the wider community.
  • Manage livestock and natural resources to achieve production targets while safeguarding animal welfare and ensuring long-term sustainability of pastures, water, and the environment.
  • Drive high standards of safety, environmental stewardship, and risk management across all operations.
  • Act as an ambassador for Paraway by contributing to strategic planning, sharing knowledge with peers, and modelling behaviours aligned with company values of integrity, accountability, and sustainability.
