The Opportunity
Join Fertiglobe Australia as the Supply Chain Planning Manager, a pivotal role responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring inventory across the FGA footprint to support a low-cost operating model and strong customer service outcomes. Working closely with the General Manager – Supply, as well as the Sales, Operations, Finance and Shipping teams, you’ll lead supply planning reviews, build scenario options to manage risk.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Translate purchase plans into detailed vessel and shed plans, aligned to the FGA footprint and capacity constraints.
- Partner with Shipping and Operations to optimise supply plans and stock movements, and review plans against sales budgets.
- Maintain and enhance the planning model with monthly actuals, purchase plans and warehouse capacity plans, including scenario modelling and risk mitigation options.
- Support purchasing activities for containerised and other products, including supplier performance measurement and monthly reporting.
- Manage inventory planning and integrity: transfers, ERP transactions, daily inventory reporting, investigation of discrepancies and management of surplus/obsolete stock.
- Develop relationships with industry counterparts and assess swap opportunities, including ERP administration.
We are seeking a commercially minded supply chain planner who brings strong analytical capability and a collaborative style. You will ideally offer:
- 5+ years’ experience in supply chain planning and inventory management, ideally within fertiliser, agriculture, industrial commodities, or similarly complex inbound supply chains.
- Hands-on experience with IBP/S&OP processes and building supply scenarios to support sound, timely decisions.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP-driven processes (purchase orders, receipts, transfers and inventory reporting) and a commitment to data quality and inventory integrity.
- Confidence partnering across Sales, Operations, Finance and Shipping, with clear written and verbal communication and the ability to present options to stakeholders.
- Process mindset with experience developing and improving procedures, reporting and ways of working; comfortable driving continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Planning or equivalent (with IBP training, project/change management, and/or Anaplan model building beneficial).
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Anaplan, dry bulk and/or containerised shipping, and procurement exposure will be highly regarded.
