About The Role
As Technical Sales Manager – your primary focus will be to drive growth and build strong, lasting relationships with both retail partners and key end-user customers within your region. You will leverage your technical expertise in herbicide solutions and vegetation management practices to provide exceptional support, identify new business opportunities, and achieve sales targets.
Working autonomously within a supportive team environment, your strong self-motivation and commitment to providing technical guidance and market insights will be crucial to your success and the company's growth in your region. This role involves travel within the territory to engage with customers and conduct field activities.
About The Person
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A strong commercial agribusiness background with experience in relevant sectors such as herbicides, rural retail, broader agricultural chemicals, or pasture management.
- Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or account management, ideally within the agriculture sector.
- A solid technical understanding of herbicide products and their application in industrial vegetation management and range and pasture settings.
- Experience in conducting field technical trials and providing agronomic support will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong market intelligence, including the ability to identify trends, understand competitive landscapes, and provide accurate sales forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage your time effectively, while also being a collaborative and supportive team member.
- Willingness to work autonomously in regional locations.
