The Business
Situated near Wee Waa, this privately owned farming operation has been growing irrigated and dryland crops for over 30 years focusing on cotton, wheat, canola and sorghum. The business consists of several properties spread across two separate aggregations, north and south, with well secured water allocations.

The board has recently appointed a new internal Managing Director, who has restructured the operations teams to streamline efficiencies to optimise yield potential of the crops, using the latest technologies. Well-resourced and with water security, the business is now primed for execution of the strategic plan to deliver quality cotton and dryland crops.

The Role
Two (2) new positions for the business, have been created to lead the on-farm teams.
  • Aggregation Manager - North
  • Aggregation Manager - South
Reporting to the Managing Director the roles are responsible for executing the farm plans and day to day operations for their relevant properties, each managing a combination of permanent staff and casual staff.
You will be responsible for:
  • People leadership and coordination.
  • Operational execution and priorities.
  • Machinery, equipment and field operations.
  • Irrigation and row crop operations.
  • Contractor and resource coordination.
  • Technology, records and reporting.
  • Safety compliance.
The roles work closely together with shared resources across the whole farm; however you will enjoy autonomy for your own aggregation team.

The Person
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • People leadership skills.
  • 5 years’ experience in irrigation, row crop farming operations.
  • Technical capability across machinery systems.
  • Knowledge of WHS in agriculture.
  • Proactive, flexible, and responsive attitude.
  • Willingness to work closely with the family.
With a team mentality, you will bring along your ground preparation experience and ideas to contribute to the group, where you all share the goal of delivering consistently high performing crops.
