The Role:

In this role, the Senior Botanist will be responsible for the project management and leadership of a portfolio of botanical projects. Working collaboratively with the team and across the group, this includes participation in botanical field surveys (on site), project management, taxanomic analysis, research and detailed report writing. Working across multiple regions in Western Australia, the Senior Botanist will enjoy working in a highly collaborative organisation with the support of key industry mentors. Candidates will enjoy flexibility, autonomy and process improvement opportunities.

Requirements:

To be considered for this important leadership position, candidates will possess the following:
  • Experience in the Western Australian flora sector
  • Tertiary qualifications in botany or environmental science
  • Ability to lead botanical field surveys
  • Excellent time/project management skills
  • A passion for industry research and collaboration
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • An interest in career development
